Why Go Eco?

We choose to live and work with a philosophy of creating minimal impact on our environment, working on repairing and maintaining our awesome earth and sharing in the journey with our friends family and guests in hope to impart some of our passion  to the people with whom we share our life.

We have joined with Ecotourism Australia in this journey and attained the highest of Eco Accreditation on all of our original tours. As we grow and introduce new tour options for our guests, strict guidelines are followed in the design of each itinerary and our accreditation is updated in time to correctly and proudly reflect our thorough commitment to Advanced Ecotourism.

Ecotourism is ecologically sustainable tourism with a primary focus on experiencing natural areas that fosters environmental and cultural understanding, appreciation and conservation.

Ecotourism accreditation by Ecotourism Australia, gives customer’s assurance that the organisation they are touring with uses strict guidelines and practices to ensure their impact on the natural environment is kept as low as possible. Eco accreditation falls into three categories as listed below.

Australian Gum Blossom

Nature Tourism:
Tourism in a natural area that leaves minimal impact on the environment.

Ecotourism:
Tourism in a natural area that offers interesting ways to learn about the environment with an operator that uses resources wisely, contributes to the conservation of the environment and helping local communities.

Advanced Ecotourism:
Leading and most innovative ecotourism products, providing an opportunity to learn about the environment with an operator that uses resources wisely, contributes to the conservation of the environment and helping local communities.

This totally voluntary accreditation ensures our customers that we not only care for our environment, but take an active role in it’s preservation, as well as teaching our customers about the natural environment and the importance of it’s care.

To find out more about the value of eco tourism visit the Eco Tourism Australia website.
You may wish to visit the website of Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary in South Australia’s spectacular Northern Flinders Ranges. Like Wilderness Wanders, Arkaroola has proven them selves to be very environmentally aware, and also hold advanced Ecotourism Accreditation.

Throughout our tour operation we employ many methods to ensure we maintain minimal impact on our environment. The considerations and modifications required to lessen general impact throughout routine daily activities are easily adopted into family and working lives and situations.

Many of our guests leave with new ideas on how they can best help and refreshed appreciation for the effect that they as individuals can have on making a difference.
